Inspiration:
Fiber. That’s is. Simple. I love this hand spun yarn. I love dying yarn and voila! this magic happened. I have moments where I sit by the computer and chart different stitch combinations, flowy, repetitions and geometric but feminine shapes. Then, the pattern sits…waiting …for the right moment…Choosing the right fiber is key to a successful design, I believe. Texture along with colour must be perfect. This delivers on both those fronts.

I wanted a comfy, pleasant on skin but also layering sweater. It is just that.
Fun and interesting yoke is executed by smart decreases and increases, slowly progressing to its full bloom. Upon finally finalizing the yoke measurements, I knitted this yoke in 2 days, just could not put it down. Using yarn, either handspan, or Spincycle colour gradient is ever so fun, delivering the exactment with each stitch.

Name derived from the heavens. This colour combo and design on yoke, reminds me of the sky, which in turn leads to conundrum of “belief” in all that is heavenly and paradisial.

Sizes:
Bust (finished blocked garment) 34, (36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60) in; 86, (91, 96.5, 102, 107, 112, 117, 122, 127, 132, 137, 142, 147, 152) cm.
Plan for ease of 4-6 in if intended to be layering piece. If closer fit is desired, knit with no ease.
Shown in pictures on a model with 36 in (91cm) bust. Model wearing size bust 40 in.

Smallest size outside the brackets, consecutive sizes inside the parentheses. For ease of following, I recommend highlighting the correct size.
If 1 number is provided it applies to all sizes.
See schematic for more measurements.

Gauge:
22 sts/ 24 rows in 4 in/10cm blocked swatch worked in St st on size 6 US (4.0mm) needles.
Please take time to achieve gauge, adjust needle size as needed.
Some knitters, when knitting stranded tend to knit a tighter gauge, please check, and adjust needle size as needed. Both gauges should match.

Yarn:
MC: Background colour, any super wash DK merino.
I used Elitespun; merino dk 115 g skeins = 284 yards each skein (259 m)
Hand dyed in Navy and black.
CC: Hand spun, or Spin cycle Nocturne (sport) 200 yards per skein (183 m)

Amounts:
MC: 3, (3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6, 6, 6, 7, 7)
CC: 1, (1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4)
Testers to confirm yardage
Notions:
• Size 6 US (4.0 mm) 16-inch (40cm) circulars interchangeable needles, increase cable length as sts increase,
• Stitch marker of a different color to denote BOR and another to denote the side of work, additional markers, if desired, to mark yoke chart repeats,
• 1 Size 2 US (2.75 mm) DPN,
• Darning needle,
• Blocking materials.

Skills required:
• Stranded knitting from chart,
• German short row shaping,
• Knit and purl sts,
• Decreases, increases,
• Casting on mid work using backwards loop CO.

Notes about construction:
Knitted stranded, from top down, in the round, in one piece.
