So here it is! My first pattern on ravelry! I’m super excited!

ANYWHOO… I designed this hat about a year ago and completed an infant size one. The intended recipient was not an infant though. I promised to make a new one that would fit. Then I totally got preoccupied with Christmas knitting and other stuff.

Fast forward to this fall, I made a new hat and test knit my own pattern. A lot of people thought it was cute so I decided to put the pattern out.

I think its adorable for a little girl, that’s not to say that you couldn’t leave off the bow and knit it in more boyish colors and maybe add a pompom.

Things to know about the pattern:

  1. the hat is knit in the round with ribbing, linen stitch, a tiny bit of stranded color work (like 5 rounds) and cables. Every technique is explained in the pattern so beginners should definitely try it!

  2. for the hat I made I used Louet Gems Worsted yarn in the colors: * Caribou (brown) * Apple Blossom (pink/rose) * Champagne (cream/super light brown)

  3. the yardage listed is a rough estimate

  4. and finally, stuff you will need: *** three colors worsted weight yarn (approx. 100 yards total) * 16” circular needle in size 6 * double pointed needles in size 6 * stitch marker * darning needle to sew in ends and attach bow**
