Emma Tee
The Emma Tee combines both crochet and knitting techniques. It can be made in multicolor or in a solid color as a classic wardrobe staple. The tee is worked flat from the bottom up, alternating rows of double crochet and single crochet. The front and back panels are crocheted separately, with shaping at the shoulders and neckline. Once both panels are complete, they are joined at the shoulders and sides. Single crochet stitches frame the neckline and sleeve openings, creating clean edges. Stitches are then picked up for a classic knitted 2x2 rib around the neckline and sleeves, finished with a delicate picot edging. The pattern includes two options for the bottom hem: a matching picot edge or a wide 2x2 rib, allowing you to customize the final look to your style.
Size guide
The Emma Tee is designed to have approx. 5 - 15 cm / 2 - 6 inches of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be 5 - 15 cm / 2 - 6 inches larger in circumference than your bust measurement. The sizes 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) are designed to fit a bust circumference of 83-88 (89-94, 95-100, 101-106, 107-115, 115-125) cm / 33-34.5 (35-36.5, 37-39, 39.5-41.5, 42-45, 45.5-49) inches .
The measurements for the finished Tee can be found on the front page of the pattern. Measure yourself before beginning your project, to determine which size will fit you the best. For example, if you measure 90 cm / 35½ inches around your bust (or around the widest part of your upper body) you should knit the size 2. A size 2 tee has a finished bust circumference of 101 cm/ 39¾ inches which in the given example would give you 11 cm / 4 inches of positive ease.
