Inspired by the beginnings of Spring, Emmalyn is an asymmetric shawl that is light and airy yet cozy and warm. The kind of shawl that can be grabbed “just in case” on the way out the door and wrapped around your shoulders when the sun goes down. The lace evokes a rebirth of nature that comes in Spring when trees start budding and the weather warms up.

Knit with two skeins of fingering weight yarn, Emmalyn is perfect for those skeins you’ve been saving for just the right pattern or a reason to stop by your LYS or order from your favorite dyer without breaking the bank.

The name is a nod to the names of my daughters, Emily and Quinn, who are usually snuggled up next to me while I knit and are always trying to “help” wind yarn.
