The Encore Beanie is worked from the top down in chunky yarn, and it knits up quickly. The shaping happens right at the start to keep you engaged, and once you reach the full circumference you add a symmetrical colourwork band that carries on for as long as you like. Try it on as you go and adjust the length until it sits just right. Finished with a rib.

It comes in a wide size range and the colourwork is simple and repetitive, making this a great first colourwork project or a satisfying quick knit if you already know the technique.

You will want to cast on another one the moment you bind off. That’s why it’s called Encore.
