This seemingly simple pillow cover is a very good exercise in Tunisian crochet cables. It is an intermediate level pattern not because of the construction - which is very simple - but because the nature of cables makes it so that you’ll have to get used to “dig” a bit for stitches until you get used to that. Once you get the feel of it though, you’ll never want to stop! :)

Materials: 2 x 100g skeins of Álafosslopi (Happy Red 0047) OR Viking Of Norway Snorre Naturgarn (650) OR Fil K Rouge ( Laines du Valgaudemar) yarn - double if you want to do the back as well
Cabled 8mm / L/11 tunisian crochet hook
Cable needle (spiral one works best but any will do); or secondary hook
Blunt needle for weaving in loose ends and sewing
Fabric for the back if you choose not to crochet the back as well
Gauge: 10 st / 8 rows in a 10 x 10cm / 4 x 4 in square in Tunisian Purl Stitch (TPS)
