Endless Summer Adventures
The Endless Summer Adventures shawl is asymmetrica shawl. With some great tassels and a nice open airy feeling. It can be done with DK weight yarn or with one skein of fingering weight yarn. This makes the pattern very flexible for different yardages and types of yarn allowing you to pick out just the right colours.
The DK weight version is a large shawl so if you prefer smaller shawls please opt for the fingering version as it is a smaller shawl. Of course, if you do 2 skeins of fingering yarn the shawl will be quite large as well.
The estimated yardage and gauge are in the details above. You will also need a tapestry needle and scissors;
I can not state this enough. Make your tassel first it saves you a lot of guesswork and allows you to make the shawl as big as possible, lessening your leftover yarn situation at the end. Also, this shawl is best served when blocked; it opens the easy eyelet lace and helps in the creation of a great casual drape.
DK weight shawl uses a 6mm needle
Fingering weight shawl uses a 5mm needle for a piece of very airy light fabric.
