There are so many pattern for knit shawls out there, I wishes for a design different than the other.
This shawl Knit back and forth (flat) as an asymmetric garter stitch triangle, with bands of lace.
It combines the ease and simplicity of garter stitch with a little bit of lace and a slit touch of colour, multi directional, it’s compose of 3 part: one rectangle of lace at the middle, 2 sides triangle, one starting by a long cast on edge and decreasing on both edge with a colour stranded stripe, the second one starting with 3 sts building a section of garder stitch that grows with a one side only increase.

I offer Enez Arzh shawl for free (24h on january 29th Friday (Paris time), no coupon code needed, the price is automatically adjusted at checkout). Enjoy!

In order to price my designs in a manner that maintains both inancial accessibility and fair pricing, I will be using a “Pay What You Can system” model for all my self-publish pattern.

for size Large the skeins of MC were used completely and 30 gr CC

Construction:
The shawl is knit flat, the 3 parts (wing A and B, central lace panel) are knit at the same times.
Wing A: left side triangle, starting with 3 sts building a section of garter stitch that grows with a one side only increase, done in garter stitch. Then worked using increases and decreases to create biasing lines.
Central lace panel: one rectangle of lace starting with 32 sts work even until the depth required.
Wing B: right side triangle, starting by a long cast on edge and decreasing at each side to create a triangle. with a colour stranded stripe, done in garter stitch.

The different direction and texture of each sections will keep things interesting along the way.
Miraculously, you will end with only a few stitches to cast off, one of the most pleasing ways to end up a project.

This shawl is in collaboration with @madelinetosh and their MadTosh Studio Design program for designers!
All my gratitude for @madelinetosh yarn who allowed me yarn support for this project.
The design will be featured as part of their #MTStudioDesign series!
