This shawl showcases a lovely, textured oaken leaf pattern and double seed stitch pattern that is sure to catch your eye. It’s knit in DK-weight yarn that’s perfect to cozy up in when the weather is cool. You’ll find this pattern a fun knit!
Shown in Alpaca Royal by Alize DK: 55% Acrylic, 30% Alpaca, 15% Wool (273 yds (250 m)/ 3.53 Oz (100g)).
The triangle is worked from the bottom up with the edging integrated and can adapt to any yardage or size. You can also make a shawl with a different kind of yarn.
This pattern could easily be made with fingering to worsted weight yarn. By simply adding more repeats of the charts you can make shawl as large as you wish.
Pattern includes charts and explanation of all the methods used: reading charts, basic decreases (ssk; k2tog; ssp; p2tog; sl 1, k2tog, psso), increase M1. The oaken leaf pattern is easy to memorize. The leaf tips are the hardest part, but the pictures helped a lot (according to testers).
Please note: the stitch pattern in this shawl is charted only.
Each chart is shown where it fit in the pattern and on its own page.
