This top down sweater is a modern take on the classic Icelandic lopapeysa. The yoke is first cast on provisionally with waste yarn and long tail cast on. Raglan shaping and short rows are worked for a great fit in the shoulders and the stranded yoke is finished with an applied icord neckline. The body and sleeves are worked top down for a customizable fit. There are no long floats or strands, which makes this sweater a great first stranded yoke project. Instructions for holding two strands of yarn for optimal color dominance are included.
