English Rose Ridge

This shawl was originally designed by Joanna Herriott of Twinset & Purl for the Eagles Bend Alpacas Yarn Crawl 2020. Kits in their exclusive hand dyed yarn are available on their website https://www.eaglebendalpacas.com/

Designed to be knit in two contrasting skeins of fingering
weight yarn produced by the Farm. The ridge pattern
detail along the centre of the shawl really shows off the
lovely yarn. Add optional tassels for an even higher impact!

Testers also knit this shawl using mohair/silk as the contrast yarn.

Essentially a one skein project (the contrast yarn is held double with the main colour), this shawl would be perfect gift knitting.

Yarns used:
Version 1: Two hand-dyed skeins of fingering weight, 2 ply yarn on a 450 yd. skein. Our signature yarn is comprised of 40% Huacaya, 40% Suri, and 20% cormo wool.

Version 2: Mr. B’s Yarn Hiddleston Sock in Rosie Lee (one skein 425m/100g) held double with Mr. B’s Yarn Fuzzy Mohair in Plum (400m/50g)
