I wanted to design a functional, beautiful bag. The bag is made of two panels. Each panel starts as a spiral, and is then squared off. The bag uses some of my favourite crochet stitches: popcorns, back and front post trebles, and back loop stitches. The two panels, when completed, are crocheted together to make the bag, and then a simple drop-in lining is sewn and stitched to the bag opening. I wanted the design to be relatively straight forward, so that I could enjoy the rhythm of the stitches without constantly referring to the pattern, but that also included a little challenge. I used Scheepjes Softfun Denim for this, although it would also be a good stashbusting project. There are two versions of the pattern, one using UK terminology, one using US terms.
