When designing the garments for the Cricket Collection, we considered the nature of the yarn: the woolen spun, single ply authentic Donegal tweed blooms and softens after blocking and the tweedy nubs add color and texture that looks stunning in stockinette and slightly softens the stitch definition when knit in colorwork or lace.

The end result of our efforts is a six piece collection with modern details and fit paired with classic techniques. We hope you enjoy it!

Enniskillen is worked in the round from the bottom up with steeks to create openings for the armholes and V-neck. The lower body ribbing is worked flat in two pieces, before joining in the round, to create side vents.

This garment is meant to have a slightly cropped fit, with the lower edge roughly even with the wearer’s natural waist. The larger sizes have taller armholes and shorter lower bodies to prevent the overall length from becoming too long.

Regarding the yardage requirements: Cricket comes in an ample 100 gram / 415 yard skein. The yardage requirements for the contrast colors do not use all of the full skeins.

Kelbourne Woolens Cricket (100% Merino wool; 415 yds/100 gm skein): light gray 058 (MC), 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 3) skeins; ocean 426 (CC1), chocolate 207 (CC2), rust 250 (CC3), 1 skein each for all sizes.
