Brooklyn Tweed Tones Light, fingering weight yarn (50g/225yds206m; 100% American Columbia Wool); 4 skeins of Persimmon overtone.

Sample used approximately:
Cowl: 130g / 585 yds 536m
Hat: 51g / 230 yds 211m. If you wish to keep the use of the yarn less than 1 skein/50g, consider knitting the brim a bit shorter.

Needles
Cowl
US size 4 3.5mm 32” circular needle or size to obtain correct gauge.
Hat
US size 1 2.25m 16” circular needle.
US size 4 3.5mm 16” circular needle.
US size 4 3.5mm 40” circular needle or DPNs for crown decreasing.

Gauge
23.5 sts and 34 rows = 4” 10 cm in stockinette stitch with US size 4 3.5 mm needles, after blocking.
