Ensnare hat is going into hibernation, and will be updated later this winter with new size options, and a chart of the stitch pattern. Thanks for your patience with this temporary unavailability.

Yarn: Any soft chunky weight or bulky weight yarn will work.
Shown in: Malabrigo Chunky-(104 yds/95m, 100 g/3.53 oz.) color # 186, “Buscando Azul” used approx. 80 yds. for adult small/child’s large, and was able to make both the adult small hat and the matching “Ensnare Cowl” with 2 skeins of this yarn.
Also shown in: A pink single-ply handspun wool/kid yarn from “J. Read Designs”, for child size.
Also shown in: Classic Elite Wynter- (120 yds/ 110m, 100 g /3.53 ounces) in color “Dusty Teal”, used approx. 115 yds/105m. to make size adult small (with an extra pattern repeat).

Gauge: 3.5 sts/in in cable pattern stitch. (14 sts/4 in, and 14 sts/10 cm)
Needles: 16 inch circular needles and DPN’s in size needed to get gauge. I used a US size 9/5.5 mm
