As I was rereading Tolkien’s The Two Towers I was inspired to make a pouch that was…well…Entish.

In my head, the story goes that when the Entwives were still around, but drifting further and further away from the Ents, to win the Entwives back to the beauty of the forest some Ents decided to make them pouches. They were fashioned of bits of fallen bark and leaves and then presented to the Entwives with seeds and berries of the forest inside the pouches. But the Entwives still loved their fields and farms better and didn’t see the beauty of the pouches or the forest. So the Ents took their pouches back, hoping to present them again, but that time never came for the Entwives had left by then.
