Entomology Blanket
Make your own beautiful blanket with this Entomology mosaic crochet pattern.
You can easily customize the pattern by changing the order of parts, leaving out or repeating parts and playing around with colours.
The technique used is overlay mosaic crochet. The pattern includes both charts and written instructions.
There’s 5 downloads available:

Right handed with pictures: this pattern includes charts and written instructions for right handed crochet and includes pictures for every row.

Right handed without pictures: this pattern includes charts and written instructions for right handed crochet.

Left handed with pictures: this pattern includes charts and written instructions for left handed crochet and includes pictures for every row.

Left handed without pictures: this pattern includes charts and written instructions for left handed crochet.

Charts only: this pattern includes the charts only in case you prefer to only work from charts or if you’d like to print just the charts.

The pattern is written in US terms
Size:
The final size of the blanket depends on the number of repeats, the yarn and hook size
and your tension. If you want your blanket to be longer or shorter you can repeat parts or
leave some out.
For me the blanket (with hook size 4.5 mm, 6 repeats and a border) is about 102 x 155 cm (40 x 60 inches).
Yarn usage:
You can use any yarn and colour that you like (make sure to use
contrasting colours so the pattern will be clearly visible).
The amount of yarn you need depends on the size of your blanket, the
yarn and hook size, your tension and the number of colours you use
I used Stylecraft Special DK (100 g = 295 m)
- Colour A: Teal (1062)
- Main part: ca. 1500 m (1640 yard)
- Border: ca. 300 m (330 yard)
- Colour B: Camel (1420)
- Main part: ca. 1200 (1310 yard)
- Border: ca. 200 m (220 yard)
