New form for entrelac knitting! Oversized cardigan-cocoon!

The cocoon is deservedly very popular because it suits everyone.

The cardigan is knitted from the bottom of the back, then a turn is made, then the cardigan front pieces are knitted in the perpendicular direction to the back. Seamless, everything connects in the knitting process.

The length of the cardigan can vary, in the pattern you will see which rows from the top of the back are distributed on the front pieces and sleeves, the rest can be increased to the desired length.

The collar of the cardigan can be draped around the neck, or turned inward, or turned outward - shawl collar. The sleeve starts just above the elbow. The larger the part turned inward, the higher the sleeve rises. Accordingly, the length of the sleeve can also be made larger or smaller.

You need to have experience of knitting in the technique of entrelac to use this pattern. Intermediate level or higher.

The pattern is not depend on the knitting tension and size. You calculate everything yourself, the calculation is very simple.

The scheme is unchanged, the size changing due to the tension of knitting and the number of stitches in one rectangle. Therefore, the larger the size, the larger the rectangles. Knitters with extensive experience in entrelac can increase the number of rectangles, base on the scheme and the general principle of knitting.

In the photo, size L is shown on the model with a height of 164 cm, yarn consumption 600 grams.

You can use any wool or wool blend yarn with a length of 300-400 m/100 g. Recommendations regarding the thickness of the yarn is based solely on the shape of the model and its plasticity, if you think that you need a thick cardigan or, for example, a thin long mohair cardigan, you can easily calculate yourself for any yarn.

The cardigan in the photo is knitted with 4 colors of Knoll Soft Donegal tweed yarn (380 m/100g) - three colors alternate in each row and one light color is added as “random” insets to break the rhythm and monotony. One strand of a thin mohair (900 m/ 100 g) of a similar color was added to the tweed. Combination of colors is shown in the description of the scheme.

You can also knit from sectional yarn, or single-colored yarn with a contrasting or similar color blurry flecks. But yarn with very long sections is not recommended, because the design features of the cardigan suppose a change in the direction of knitting.

Оригинальная конструкция - кардиган-кокон оверсайз связан в технике энтрелак.

Кардиган вяжется снизу от спинки, затем делается поворот, далее вяжутся полочки кардигана в направлении, перпендикулярном спинке. Без швов, всё соединяется в процессе.

Длина кардигана может быть любой, в описании вы увидите, какие ряды из верхней части спинки распределяются на полочки и рукава, остальное можно наращивать до нужной длины.
Зона воротника либо драпируется в складку вокруг шеи, либо подворачивается внутрь или отворачивается наружу шалькой. Рукав начинается чуть выше локтя. Чем больше подворот, тем выше поднимается рукав. Соответственно, длину рукава тоже можно сделать больше или меньше.

Описание для имеющих опыт вязания энтрелаком. Средний уровень.

Описание не привязано к плотности вязания и размеру. Всё рассчитываете сами, расчет простейший. Схема неизменна, изменение размера происходит за счет плотности вязания и количества петель в квадрате. Следовательно, чем больше размер, тем крупнее квадраты. Вязальщицы с большим опытом в энтрелаке, на основании схемы и общего принципа вязания, могут увеличить количество квадратов. На фото размер 48-50, рост 164 см., расход пряжи 600 грамм.

Пряжа любая шерстяная или полушерстяная длиной 300-400 м./100 гр. Выбор рекомендуемой толщины пряжи основывается исключительно на форме модели и её пластике, если вы считаете, что вам нужен толстый кардиган или, например, тонкий длинный мохеровый, вы легко рассчитаете под любую пряжу.

Кардиган на фото связан из четырёх цветов твида Knoll Soft Donegal (380м/100гр) - три цвета чередуются в каждом ряду и один светлый в виде “случайных” вставок. К твиду добавлена 1 нить тонкого 900/100 мохера близкого цвета. На схеме в описании указано распределение цветов.
Вязать кардиган можно и из секционной пряжи,
НЕ рекомендую только длинносекционную пряжу, т.к. конструктивные особенности кардигана предполагают смену направления вязания.
