I love the Eva’s Entrelac Shawl – it is so colorful and pretty and warm. I made one for me too. The only thing that bothered me – I had to find a mitten pattern that compliments it. Alas – I could not find one that suited me. So – as usual – I had to come up with my own and now I am presenting it hoping you’ll like it too.

I used yarn with long and gradient color repeats so that the color changes would be pretty, but not harsh. I kept the square size as close as possible to the shawl’s square size. And, best of all – I managed to knit almost entire mitten’s surface in entrelac (except the very tip of the thumb).

I would not suggest this pattern as your first try of entrelac knitting. That’s why I will not give too detailed instructions how to knit entrelac, but will assume you know how to do the basic entrelac on the round.

Thanks to my fabulous testers:
Maijaa, baiba, Mnemosyn, silis, BetaG and Hefalam. you made this better than it was :*
