This pattern is a photo tutorial with step‑by‑step instructions for an overlay mosaic crochet motif.
It is a detailed guide to creating an envelope border.

The border is worked using herringbone half double crochet (US) / herringbone half treble (UK). This stitch creates a denser, more knit‑like fabric than the usual crochet stitches, which helps to hide the overlay mosaic fringe more effectively.

If you prefer, you can substitute it for any stitch you like instead of using the herringbone.

For best results, use the same yarn and hook size that you used for your overlay mosaic crochet motif or blanket.
