The Eos slipover is a collaboration pattern with the Tea Cozy, a lovely yarn store in Seattle, Washington for the Puget Sound LYS Tour 2025!

This pattern is for a DK-weight slipover designed for about 5cm/2in of positive ease and cropped to fit perfectly over a dress or high-waisted pants! This pattern features cables, moss stitch, eyelets, an i-cord edge, and an optional delicate crochet frill around the neck. The back of the garment is stockinette and features German Short Rows to raise the back slightly. It is knitted top down, first flat for the front, shoulders, and back, and then joined under the arms and knit in the round until the end.

Gauge: 20 sts x 30 rows = 10cm or 4in in stockinette st

Materials needed:

  • 4 mm circular needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)
  • Two 4 mm DPNS (or really short cable for circular needles) or size needed to obtain gauge for i-cord edge
  • DK-weight yarn (and yarn in contrasting colour if desired for edges)
  • Tapestry needle to weave in ends
  • Crochet hook 4mm for neck frill

This pattern has been fully tech edited by my lovely tech editor Bridget Zhou. Please note that sizes 6, 9, 10, 11 have not been tested due to a lack of testers. If you are interested in knitting one of those sizes, please email me and I would be happy to provide you a copy for free in exchange for a few comments on the fit/yardage used. The other sizes have all been tested.
