A snug and warm hat that covers your ears and forehead, yet does not ride up the back of your head. There are two versions of the hat in this one pattern--one is plain Stockinette stitch which means you can use all sorts of fun yarns, the other is knit with Garter Stitch stripes which is an opportunity to use different yarns in the stripes. Finally, the hat can be dressed up with braids, pompoms or Curly-Qs (instructions for knitting Curly-Qs is included). The striped version requires about 110 yds MC and 90 yds CC. Note: The hat looks a bit ‘floppy’ in the photos because my wicker head form is smaller than an adult head.
