Escher Beanie
Knitted in the round in an all-over slip rib stitch, the Escher Beanie has a cosy fold-up hem and just the right amount of slouch!
With step-by-step, easy-to-follow instructions, this pattern uses the following techniques: Long tail cast on, knitting in the round, knit, purl, slip stitch and decreasing.
Skill Level: Easy
Size: This pattern includes two sizes: Size 1 Size 2.
Size 1: To fit head circumference 53-58cm/21-23’’
Size 2: To fit head circumference 58-63cm/23-25’
Yarn: Any Aran/worsted weight yarn. You will need approx 85g/119m 110g/154m of colour A and 65g/91m 90g/126m of colour B. For the lemon/white hat we have used:
Colour A (Lemon) = 2 3 skeins of Fonty Tartan 6 in 2025 - 100% Wool. (70m/77yds per 50g skein.)

Colour B (White) = 1 skein of laxtons sheepsoft Aran in airedale - 100% Wool. (175m/191yds per 100g skein.)
Suggested Needle Size: 5mm/US 8 circular needles, length 40-50cm/ 16’’- 20’’.
