This is a warm shawl with a lovely deep textured stitch pattern. It has an interesting construction, knitted from one short edge of the triangle up to the point. Three different edgings are used, with a pretty looped selvedge to allow enough ease at the top edge. It reminded me of Victorian plaid shawls - you can add a fringe if you wish.

The stitch pattern (adapted from Barbara Walker) looks great in many different weights of yarn, so I have included some instructions on how to vary the size. It’s a fairly easy knit - nothing more tricky than an occasional P2tog tbl.

Another pattern will be available soon with more choice of shapes and edgings, and instructions for how to estimate yarn requirements.

NB The first version of the pattern used chart fonts which may not display for you - please make sure you have version 1.1.
