Estérel, is a seamless dress or sweater, started by knitting flat the back from top down to the base of the armholes and using short rows to shape the shoulders. Then, stitches are picked up at the shoulders to knit each front. Both fronts are knitted separately to the base of the neckline, before joining them together. Once the front is the same length as the back, the back and the front of the sweater are joined and the body is worked in the round to the hem. The stitches for the sleeves are picked up around each armhole and knitted in the round to the wrists and finished with ribbed cuffs. Finally, stitches are picked up along the neck, to knit a ribbed collar.
