The Estrela d’Alva Baby Cardigan is a comfortable piece with a casual style and a lovely gender neutral design.

It’s name was inspired by a traditional portuguese lullaby by Zeca Afonso (Canção de Embalar), the Estrela d’alva (the morning star) symbolises hope and protection to children, the promise of a better future and the safety of the mother figure.

This wrap style cardigan feels like an embrace. It’s knitted in garter stitch and from the top down, featuring drop shoulders. It includes instructions to work optional short rows in the shoulders and sleeves for a better fit.
