“Et par” is the Danish words for “a pair”. This baby blanket / lap blanket matches my design the “Et par 1 (Shawl)” for a matching shawl and blanket set for Mother and Baby or a matching shawl and lap blanket. Et Par 2 is a square blanket with a wide lace edge.

The directions for the blanket includes two sizes – large blanket pictured. The large shawl is 108x108 centimeters and the small shawl is 98x98 centimeters after blocking.

The middle of the blanket is knitted back and forth while the lace edge is knitted in the round. The pattern is written for a knitter who is able to follow written instructions as well as follow a lace chart, work increase and decrease and knows how to work short rows.

This pattern calls for a yarn with a 27 stitch count per 10 centimeters gauge. i.e. a yardage of approximately 175 meters per 50 grams.

Materials: yarn, circular knitting needle and yarn needle for weaving in ends.
