Pattern Notes
This garment is worked in an all over lace pattern, knitted in the round to the underarms at which point the work is split and the front and back are worked separately back and forth. The straps continue up from the main body and are joined at the shoulder using a three needle cast off. The body is blocked to size before neck and arm bands are picked up and knitted. The lace pattern is the traditional Shetland Elaborate Print of the Wave. The stitch pattern is charted throughout with all decreases and part pattern repeats shown in full on the charts. Further written instructions are also provided. The sample shown in the photographs is the second size, worn with 6cm (2.5in) of positive ease. It is suggested you choose a size with between 6cm (2.5in) of positive ease and 6cm (2.5in) of negative ease depending on the fit desired.
