Ethereal Vines Triangle Shawl is a delicately hand-knitted triangular shawl featuring luxurious spun silk. Inspired by Hisame (icy rain), it offers a cool, crisp, and elegantly clear impression.

Features

  • Dynamic Lace: Features four distinct and beautiful lace and eyelet patterns. The constantly changing motifs make it an engaging and fun knit from start to finish.
  • Versatile Styling: Can be worn draped softly over the shoulders, tied loosely in the front, or wrapped around the neck like a cowl.
  • Lightweight & Portable: Uses just one 100g skein. It is incredibly light, making it the perfect accessory to carry for summer sun protection or keeping warm in air-conditioned rooms.

Size

  • Width (Wingspan): Approx. 120 cm / 47.2 inches
  • Depth (Height): Approx. 60 cm / 23.6 inches (Measurements taken after blocking)

Yarn, Needles & Gauge

  • Yarn Used: Hand-dyed 100% Bourette Silk (spun silk) (100% Silk; approx. 560 m / 612 yds per 100g skein)
  • Colorway: Hisame (Icy Rain) — A refreshing, silvery-blue shade reminiscent of clear, chilling rain. The unique slubs and natural texture of the spun silk gently reflect light, adding a sophisticated sheen to the finished fabric.
  • Estimated Yardage: Approx. 538 m /588 yds (used approx. 96 g of the sample skein) — 1 skein project!
  • Needles: JP 4 (3.3 mm) / US 3 circular needle, 80 cm (32”) or longer
  • Gauge:
    Section A: 26 sts and 45 rows = 10 cm / 4” in pattern, after blocking. Section B: 28 sts and 46 rows = 10 cm / 4” in pattern, after blocking.

(Note: This project uses almost the entire 100g skein. If your gauge is looser than recommended, you may need additional yarn.)

Techniques Used

Knit, Purl, Yarn Over (yo), Right-leaning decrease (k2tog), Left-leaning decrease (ssk), Center double decrease (cdd)
