To make this jacket you will need 6 (7) 70-yard skeins of American Thread Company “Aunt Lydia’s” Heavy Rug Yarn in pink or color of your choice, a wooden crochet hook size 13 or any hook which will give number of stitches indicated in gauge.

Gauge:
3 sts (2 hdc and ch 1) equal 1 inch

Note: These directions are given for the body of the sweater (back and both fronts) to where the shaping for armhole begins. At this point the directions then refer to left front, back and right front.
