The Euro Summer Shawl was inspired by my grandmother’s silk scarf, which I loved wearing on my head during the summer and around my neck in the winter. I wanted to create a filet crochet shawl that captures the same delicate lightness as silk, keeping the neck warm while allowing the head to stay cool.

Finished measurements:
Height (center depth): 43 cm / 17 in
Width (top edge): 105 cm / 41 in

To make a larger shawl, simply continue repeating the pattern rows before starting the border.

Yarn: Haeklegarn Nr 5 100 g Hjertegarn 400 m / 100 g (437 yds / 3.5 oz)
Fingering-weight yarn
