Cascading cables, accented with garter bands, embellish the yoke of this feminine pullover. Rib and garter trims the collar, cuffs, and hem, adding subtle textured detail. Cozy and comfortable, this sweater is perfect for a chilly winter’s day.

YARN: 1050 (1210, 1420, 1640, 1850) yds worsted weight wool or wool blend.

NEEDLES: U.S. size 7 (4.5mm) 16” (40cm) circular needle.
U.S. size 7 (4.5mm) 24” (60cm) circular needle.
U.S. size 7 (4.5mm) 32” (80cm) circular needle.
U.S. size 7 (4.5mm) double pointed needles.
Adjust needle size as needed to obtain correct gauge.

OTHER: Cable needle, waste yarn, minimum of 4 stitch markers (different styles or colors), tapestry needle.

GAUGE: 20 sts/28 rnds = 4” in stockinette, blocked.
60 rnds = 7½“ in Yoke Pattern, lightly blocked.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate. Techniques include provisional cast on, backward loop cast on, cables, and German short rows.

CONSTRUCTION: Worked in the round from the top down, with short row shaping for the back neck. Sleeves are worked in the round from the top down, and stitches are picked up from the provisional cast on and worked for the collar. Collar, hem, and cuffs are worked in rib and garter.
