Evergreen Path Shawl was designed for Andrea’s wedding~ (indie dyer of this beautiful yarn)!

This top down triangular shawl features color fades with garter, stockinette, and texture. Instructions are written and charted; fern pattern for duplicate stitch shown on chart only. This shawl is suitable for the adventerous beginner, as well as the experienced knitter looking for a relaxing and fun knit.

Woolen Women Fibers has kits available, if you’d like to knit this in the original colorway, “Marry me in the Mountains”. These 4 colors were the original inspiration for the design, which reminded me of woodland paths, evergreens and mountains.

Difficulty/Skills Required: Easy. Knit, Purl, M1R, M1L, Duplicate stitch Long-tail cast on, Stretchy bind off.

Yarn Weight: Worsted

Suggested Yarns:
Woolen Women Fibers Keckley (100% SW Merino Wool); 218 yds / 200 m per 3.5 oz / 100 g skein.

While pattern calls for Worsted weight yarn, this shawl would be lovely in DK weight yarn or Fingering weight yarn ~ finished dimensions would be smaller. Modifications in yarn weight will require additional yardage! I would recommend US 7 for DK weight, and US 6 for Fingering weight yarn.
