Everyday Cross Body Bag
The Everyday Cross Body Bag was inspired by the new found popularity of cross body bags in
the last few years. There are tons of patterns out there to make a cross body bag using crocheted
granny squares. Whilst I am learning how to crochet, knitting is my thing, but I didn’t see many
patterns for knit ones. I figured I could knit squares and construct them in the same way the
granny squares are constructed to make a cross body bag, thus the Everyday Cross Body bag was
born. For my bag I went stash busting and chose to use cotton I had in my stash, but you could
use almost any yarn you’d like, as long as your squares are the same size. The strap I bought, as I
wanted something secure, and adjustable. This can be used as a light bag, if you choose to not
line it with fabric, or you can choose to pick a cute fabric to line your bag with. Ultimately, I
wanted to make a knit version of all the crochet bags I was seeing, something to grab and go
with, just enough to fit your phone, keys, wallet, and essentials.
