Everyday Wrap Pattern

Modifications made from “I Want That Wrap” by Carolyn Kinghorn

Needle: 4.5 mm-US 7

Gauge: 13 sts = 4 inches

Yarn: DK Yarn Garnstudio Drops Sky (3.5 skeins used)

Using your 4.5mm needle, cast on 101 stitches using long tail cast on, or whatever stretchy cast on you prefer.

Pattern:

RS: (Knit 10, Purl 3) 7 times, Knit 7, slip last 3 stitches with yarn held in back.

WS:(Purl 10, Knit 3) 7 times, Purl 7, slip last 3 stitches with yarn held in front.

Slipping the last 3 stitches on each side creates an I-cord edge.

Repeat pattern until the length measures 46 inches. Bind off loosely.

Block to desired dimensions and let dry. Fold in half (23 inches long) and determine how large of a neck hole fits you comfortably. Seam the edge of the wrap, leaving a neck hole and about 5 inches at the arm to remain open.

Knitting in a ribbed stich makes the item very stretchy. Wet blocking is very important to spread out the width of your wrap. I recommend using pins to keep the shape as it drys.

Finished dimensions of garment is Folded 23” and 24” width.
