Make this wintery ornament/gift pouch in a continuous strip of two interlocking filet crochet snowflake motifs. Join-as-you-go instructions are provided to create a seamless appearance when joining the two ends. A picot border is added around the top edge; and the decorative bottom border, with added tassel, closes the ornament to create a pocket to hold a gift card or other small gift. The hanger is worked in a continuous row from one side of the ornament to the other.

This ornament/gift pouch is one of eight patterns included in the Everything Snowflakes Set. The remaining seven patterns are: afghan, hot pad, mug rug, placemat, cowl, scarf and pendant necklace.

This pattern provides both row-by-row written instructions as well as a design chart for reference.

Since this pattern contains many diagonals to create the design, it is recommended for someone who is comfortable with the interlocking filet mesh technique.

If you haven’t tried diagonals on an interlocking filet mesh project yet, you can learn how on my YouTube Channel and follow along with my FREE Interlocking Snowflake Coaster pattern! You can also read about it on my blog!

Solid stitches and long diagonals are also used on this interlocking crochet project. You can also learn more about these stitches on my YouTube Channel and follow along with my FREE Blackwork-Style Squares pattern!
