Everything Zen Buddha square
my Everything Zen Buddha square design was inspired by zen gardens I’ve seen & by my own Buddha head sculpture in my garden. This pattern uses the overlay mosaic method & features a Buddha head on a square shape with a thin border, and would work great to use for pillows, place mats, tote bags, or in block afghans. A perfect gift for that lover of all things Zen.
This Pattern includes:
• full row-by-row instructions
• detailed info on special stitches & general crochet methods used
• fully colorized & marked single page chart for viewing on devices or printing out
• Links to helpful video tutorials showing the methods used
• Each square uses approx. 200 yards of medium weight yarn,
although other weights & hook sizes can be used.
Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5mm hook, which creates a square of 13.5” x 13”.
You will need 2 colors of yarn for the basic 2-color design, in approximately 100 yards of each.
Pattern is in US crochet terms.
