Evie is a top-down seamless short sleeve top. Around the neck is cast on and short rows worked to shape the shoulders. Then increases are worked around a simple colour-work motif and changes in colour. Once the sleeves are separated, the body is knit down straight continuing in the colour-work motif until a simple rib hem is worked. The sleeve stitches are placed back on the needles and a short sleeve is worked and finished with the rib cuff. The neck band is picked up and again a rib is worked before being cast off in a contrasting colour.

The sample is knit using leftovers from other projects and one skein of bright contrast. Evie would look equally lovely worked only in two colours, such as a dark moody colour with charcoal contrast or light soft spring colours. Evie is incredibly versatile and can be viewed as a fun canvas to create a reflection of you. If working the three-colour version, please consider using the same brand of yarn for the two big blocks of colour as different yarns can have a different stitch and row gauge.

Being short sleeve, it is the perfect change of season piece that can be dressed up or equally at home with jeans.
