Skill level: an adventurous beginner

Pattern notes:
I recommend learning how to make standing stitches and invisible joins. Start the round with a new colour with a standing stitch. Use an invisible join when you change colour in the next round. This pattern includes a chart next to written instructions. Start each round at the number of the round. Follow the round from right to left. Use the chart and the photo tutorial for reference. Block your granny squares. This will make them more beautiful.

Abbreviations (US terms):
sl st-slip stitch, ch(s)-chain(s),
sc- single crochet, hdc-half double crochet,
dc-double crochet, tr-treble crochet.

You can use the granny to make a nice wall decoration…,
just a piece of driftwood and some wooden beads.

Project idea
Make a wall-hanging decoration. You will need a piece of driftwood and some wooden beads. Hang granny square on a piece of driftwood. You can do it by crocheting the loops of chains around the wood. Make some tassels and hang them together with some wooden beads under the square for decoration.
