Play with color in a stylized work of art that pairs rustic tweed with brilliant hues. This interplay between yarns transforms a simple garter stitch shawl into an asymmetrical canvas for stunning gradient yarns.

Wear a spectrum of your favorite colors or one that recalls a special place or time. Your shawl will become a beautiful expression of what you love.

MATERIALS:

Yarn: (MC) 2 skeins Green Mountain Spinnery Sock Art Lana, Meadow or Forest (800 yards);
(CC) 1 Fiber Optic Yarns Foot Notes Paintbox or Kashmir Paintbox Gradient (450 yards).

Needles: US 5 / 3.75mm 32” circular needle, US 8 / 5mm 32’” circular needle, for bind off only

If you choose to work with a Fiber Optic Paintbox set, we recommend splicing your mini skeins using Jane Richmond’s magic knot technique. Combining your mini skeins into a larger whole will ensure that you have MANY fewer ends to weave in and the garter stitch fabric should beautifully disguise your splices!
