PATTERN DETAILS:

Level: Very confident beginner/Intermediate- individual stitches are simple (note: there will be combinations for motifs), but confidence in row counts, sewing, pattern repeats, quick colour changes, and construction in both rows and in the round is beneficial. Sewing is involved for assembly.

Project time: 1.5 hours (at an average/casual pace for base pattern.
Finished size: 4” (10 cm) in rose diameter across. 11” (28cm) in height.

Supplies:
• Worsted weight yarn (weight 4) – Requirements given are approximate (as yarn weights and personal tension may vary)
Rose colour 55 meters/28 yards. Greenery/stem 25 meters/60 yards.
Minimal for pupil and iris colours.
• Hooks: both a 3.5mm and a 4.5mm hook are required.
• Polyfill or similar for eyes
• Yarn needle and stitch markers are recommended
• Flexible hair curler (24cm/9.45” Length x 1.2cm/0.47” wide) recommended for flexible stem (available online/in store)

Stitches/Abbreviations Used- US terminology
• St: stitch
• Ch: chain
• Sc: single crochet
• Dec: decrease (single crochet two together. Invisible decrease is okay too)
• Inc: increase (two single crochet stitches in the same stitch)
• Hdc: half double crochet
• Dc: double crochet
• Dc inc: double crochet increase (2 double crochets in one stitch).
• Picot: for this pattern, it is a 3 chain picot with a slip stitch into the back of the first chain.
• Sk: skip stitch
• Sl st: slip stitch
• F/O: finish or fasten off
• Instructions in parenthesis “() x times” are repeats: e.g. (3 dc, ch 1) x 5 means repeat stitches in parenthesis 5 times.
• Numbers in parenthesis “()” at the end of the row dictate the number of stitches you should have.
