Hi everyone,

Here is my first design for a baby pattern. While making this design, I mostly had two things in mind:

  1. material: I went for a cotton and bamboo mix yarn, because these materials are very gentle for babies, and I like how the materials drape. Of course, you don’t have to use a cotton/bamboo mix, you can use whatever kind of fine yarn you want.
  2. Texture: babies can’t see very well the first months, i.e. details or colour, so I wanted to create a textured blanket that would be interesting for the baby in this way.

The pattern is approx. 85 cm by 80 cm, but with the yarn I used, there’s quite a lot of stretch, so it won’t be too constricting.

The pattern contains an English version and a Dutch/Flemish version. It provides written instructions, row by row. But a chart in a separate pdf-file is included for those who prefer to knit with a chart.

Error:
For those who purchased this pattern before 17/01/’20, note that there is an error in the pattern. Namely: row 56 is not a knit row, but a purl row. Apologies for any inconvenience or frogging.
