“This elegant hat is easier to make than it looks. The pattern consists of alternating rounds of stockinette stitch and eyelet-studded reverse stockinette stitch. you work the ribbed brim back and forth in rows and then bind off to create the decorative flaps. from there you work the rest of the hat in the round on a short circular needle, switching to double-pointed needles during the top shaping. with no seaming necessary, it requires minimal finishing - always a plus!”
