Welcome to part 5 of our 6 part “Learn to Knit” series! This washcloth is a simple introduction to lace by making eyelet rows in a handy, dandy washcloth. It works with a 16 row pattern repeat and is very easy to memorize. However, to make it even easier, I have included with the pattern a chart, a row-by-row checklist and there is a link to a video tutorial where I walk you through all the steps.

The yarn used for this pattern is Lily Sugar’n Cream 100% Cotton (Medium 4 weight), but you can use whatever cotton yarn you have on hand. This uses only 60 yards (so, less than a skein) and size 6 (4.00mm) knitting needles.

When you make this project, please link your washcloth to my pattern page, as I’d love to see your makes!

I hope you enjoy this washcloth and check back as next week I’ll be releasing the final project in this series (hint…It involves cables and is GORGEOUS!!).
