F* ICE hat
I was inspired by a hat I saw on Ravelry called “Fuck: the Exasperation Hat” by Pam Gabriel that I had favorited, but had not yet made. Now seemed like the perfect time, and I decided to adapt it for anyone who loved the idea of the red hats but wanted something a bit more blunt.
This is the first pattern I’ve even done, so apologies if things are not clear. It’s also the first time I’ve knitted with two colors, so there was a lot of learning going on. I’m sure a more experienced knitter can improve on this pattern and I’d welcome the input.
I did not do a gauge swatch for this. It’s an adult size hat for an average size head.
Also, I have never knit with acrylic yarn, but I was visiting my family and did not have my stash with me. My daughter gave me some acrylic yarn so I made do with that.
Note: the purple and green pictures are my first hat and I decided to do an extra half of the graph and have three lines of text. It makes the hat a bit too tall for my taste so I changed the pattern to close it out after two. The grey on grey hat is knit exactly as the pattern is written.
