Description
Facet Tee O-Neck is a fitted T-shirt with a round neckline and feminine pattern details running down the center front and back, as well as across the shoulders and along the sleeves.
The tee is worked top-down using the contiguous method, meaning the body and sleeves are shaped simultaneously. Stitches are first cast on at the neckline, and the work begins flat with increases on the front and back pieces. Once the shoulders reach their final width, increases are worked on the sleeves, followed by increases at the armholes.
The two front pieces are then joined to work in the round, and the sleeves are separated from the body.
The sleeve pattern continues after the separation of body and sleeves, and the sleeves are finished with a folded hem.
The body is worked in the round, continuing the pattern down the center front and back, and is finished with a folded hem.
Stitches are picked up around the neckline, and a folded “sandwich” collar is worked.
The tee is designed with approx. 8–11 cm (3.1–4.25 in) of positive ease, depending on size. If you prefer a looser fit, consider knitting one size larger than usual.
