It requires four colors that blend together well. It is written as a fade. You will need at least 105g/446 m (488 yds) of each color. Most skeins come with enough extra yarn to meet this requirement, so make sure to weigh them before starting.

Although there are three different motifs used, gauge only needs to be measured in Stockinette.
