Debut Pattern!!

It’s a mouse’s fault! A few years ago I made a blanket for our bed in our RV. When we winterized, we washed the bedding and remade the bed. While in storage, a mouse made our RV its home and our bed became his. In the spring we discovered all of the damage and I decided the blanket was unrepairable. But knowing we still needed a blanket, I set out to design one. It’s now stored in a bin in the garage over the winter!

This blanket was designed with Bernat Blanket yarn in 3 colours and is joined while crocheting, eliminating the need to piece at the end. Each hexagon is only 5 rounds making them relatively quick to make.

Skills (US terms): chain (ch), double crochet (dc), treble crochet (tr), treble crochet 2 together (tr2tog), magic circle (mc), slip stitch (sl st)

Sizes: Crib/Throw (40” × 50 ½”), Twin (67” × 86 ½”), Queen (94” × 113”), King (103” × 113”)
