This is a triangle shawl knit from the top, center out. It uses three colors and fades from one to the other by holding the yarn double in various combinations.

You will need approximately a 50 gram skein of color A (center color), and a 100 gram skein of each color B and C.

In the yellow/orange/red sample I used 25 gms (120 yards) of yellow(A), 67 gms (310 yards) of orange(B) and 91 gms (420 yards) of red(C) yarn. Yardage used by testers varied slightly. It seems that the more you let the two strands of yarn twist around each other, the more yardage you use based on my experience knitting it twice.
