DESCRIPTION
The faerie caves at Cullercoats Bay are very easy to miss if you are not careful. They are tiny indentations in the stone cliffs that back onto the semi-circular beach of this coastal town. As such, they provide a perfect opportunity for little ones to search for hidden geodes of amethyst and rose quartz. This sandy bay is enclosed by piers and houses a lifeboat station, making it an ideal site for bathing and recreational crafts. There are plenty of places to stop and grab a bite to eat and the Tyneside Aquarium is located nearby as well.
